Community Members Contribute Over 300 Care Items for Toddlers & Infants During Investment Firm’s Donation Drive to Help Local Single Mothers & Families on the Path to Self-Sufficiency
AUSTIN, TEXAS—October 12, 2017—Ascendant Capital has wrapped up a community donation drive in which its team members, as well as Austin residents, contributed more than 300 care items and toiletries for toddlers and infants, which will go to young mothers and families working with the LifeWorks organization.
LifeWorks operates 17 programs designed to empower homeless and at-risk youth, returning veterans, young families, and single mothers in the Austin area to overcome abuse and trauma and become self-sufficient. The advocacy organization’s programs focus on helping young adults and families in crisis find housing, education, and employment in their local communities.
The young mothers and families who are improving their lives with support from LifeWorks have received 312 new care and hygiene items for toddlers and infants, including pillows, cups, bowls, teething rings, pacifiers, diapers, and towels, thanks to Ascendant Capital’s donation drive.
“LifeWorks enables young people in crisis in our community to find their place, realize their full potential, and achieve their life goals, and we are proud to assist in this mission,” said Jeffry Schneider, Founder of Ascendant Capital. “We remain committed to channeling our business success into support for philanthropic initiatives and social causes that improve communities in and around Austin, and across the country.”
In addition to LifeWorks, Jeffry Schneider and his team members support charitable organizations such as God’s Love We Deliver, Cherokee Home for Children, Wonder Worries, and The Gazelle Foundation.
